Visitors

This past week I was very lucky and had visitors from the foreign country just south of here.  Sonya and Kathy decided to join me for their Columbus Day weekend, which happened to coincide with our Thanksgiving Holiday.  Of course, first and foremost we sought out the best cupcake places in the city.  And, I must say, Cocoa Locale took the cake.  Their Chocolate Chai cupcakes are seriously the most amazing cupcakes I have ever partaken of -- shocking.  Not to be missed -- but catch them early in the day because when she sells out -- she closes.

We also wandered around Old Port and took in the sights - and flavors of the city.  Oh, yeah, and we had more poutine.  It's just the thing to do when visiting.

It was great having visitors from the NYC.  I do miss my ladies.

  1. Looks so pretty there in the autumn. How about we send Mia and Paige out for an educational winter with uncle Jay? You can teach them all about what it's like to really be cold. ;-) Thanks for Skyping with us. Miss you. Love you!

  2. Sure! Send them on over. We'll have a grand ole time (snuggled against my floor heaters). Love you too!

  3. When I first looked at that picture of them on the couch, I thought they were wearing snuggies and died laughing. Now that I have found out they weren't but you keep mentioning how cold it is, I think that people may want to consider that as a Christmas present. :)
